June Empties + Product Reviews!

It’s that time of the month again guys, (no, not THAT time you sickos), where another month has come to an end and another pile of products have seen their final days. Two of the below products are ones that I have been using for years so I know that I have not seen the last of these beauties forever. As for the others, well you’ll have to read on to find out πŸ˜‰

To start, I have finished another Origins Drink-Up Intensive Overnight Mask which is a product I have been using for about four years. Technically, as it states on the packaging, it is an overnight mask but I actually like to wear it over my daily moisturizer to help lock everything in. I find this provides really intense hydration for my skin and it also makes a fantastic base for my makeup. This mask makes my skin look and feel like velvet while also giving me a subtle dewy glow which, for me, is a perfect canvas for my makeup. With avocado, apricot kernel oils and Japanese seaweed, this mask leaves my skin really supple and plump all day.

Up next, I whipped through a another pack of LuLuLun Precious Sheet Masks in Silver. Last month, I finished the White pack which you can read about here. Unlike the White, which had anti-aging benefits, the Silver pack is targeted at brightening your skin. I really liked these masks they gave my skin a soft glow after I used them and I also found that they made my skin look more even. I wouldn’t say that they were life changing but for the price (approximately $4.00 CAD for 7 masks) they really can’t be beat. Plus, I love knowing that they are the most popular sheet masks in Japan and I will do anything I can to look as beautiful as the Japanese girls in Japan did.

Coming up next, I finished my very first bottle of the Ole Henriksen Truth SerumΒ which I LOVED. I had never tried a Vitamin C serum and had heard such wonderful things about this one that I wanted to test it out. According to their website, this serum “brightens, firms, fights visible signs of aging and delivers all-day hydration”. While I am not sure if it did fight any signs of aging as I am still in my twenties, I did see that my complexion was brighter, smoother and more hydrated then it has been in awhile. I would put it on at night before bed after I washed and toned my face and before my moisturizer and every morning my skin was literally GLOWING. While the bottle isn’t large, you really only need one pump per application so I found one bottle lasted me about 4 months in total. I will absolutely be buying this again πŸ˜€

I also finished another Clinique Acne Solutions Clearing Moisturizer which is one of the products on this list I have used for years. And, as you can tell by the condition it is in above, I use it every single night. It is never drying on my sensitive skin and it works to both hydrate my skin while always keeping my acne at bay. I wear it when going to bed and I find it to be really lightweight on my skin which I like because I always followup with my Josie Maran Argan Oil Light on top to lock everything in. Since using this moisturizer, I have seen my blemishes and redness decrease significantly over time and I highly recommend it to anyone who has sensitive, blemish prone skin and is looking for a light moisturizer to wear either day or night.

And finally, I have finished my very first tube of the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara. I loved this mascara but honestly, I just flaked too much for me 😦 😦 :(. It made my lashes look stunning and I was so happy with this product until I realized that it was flaking all over my face. I noticed that I would leave my house and be so in love with how my lashes looked but that there would be a ton of mascara flakes all over my face by the time I got anywhere. For that reason, I wouldn’t repurchase this product but I am really happy I tried it because, I’m sure like all of us, I have read such rave reviews about it.

What products have you finished in June? Would you repurchase them? πŸ˜€
