Hey guys!
So I don’t know about you all but I have a confession… I am over chokers. THERE. I SAID IT. But I am.
I think they are super cute and that they had a moment but now I have to admit- I’m tired of them. Now, don’t think I didn’t wear them because I certainly did, but I feel like they have been quite over played. And now I am onto my current favourite necklace look: layered chains. Specifically delicate, gold chains with beautiful gold pendents. 😀
I feel like this look is so feminine and street-style-cool while also telling a story. For example, in the picture below, I bought the Hamsa pendent in Naples while travelling around Italy. The small turquoise and gold pendent I received from my dad when I was born after he bought it at an estate sale. And the tiny horseshoe was a gift from my boyfriend while we were in New York City on our very first anniversary. ❤
You wouldn’t believe how many people ask me about my necklaces and it’s so fun to share my stories about how I accumulated each of my little treasures. I love this layered look because they make a statement without being overwhelming and it still looks luxurious since they are all gold and share a similar aesthetic.
If you have seen how I wear all of my rings, (examples A, B, and C ), you will notice that I think the more dainty, gold accessories I can throw on, the better. Especially since I have added even more rings since those pictures were taken. 😀
Below are some similar beautiful gold necklaces I have my eye on for inspiration and when looking to add to my collection:
For even more inspiration, head on over and check out a piece Refinery 29 published awhile back documenting this look as well. ❤
XO
I love how the jewellery you’ve chosen tells a story. It’s almost like a modern version of a traditional charm bracelet. Very beautiful and a great idea. Thanks for sharing!

You know, I will definitely agree with you that chokers are overplayed. Don’t get me wrong – I still love them, but I am slightly done with seeing them EVERYWHERE. I definitely love delicate jewellery, though – and layered delicate necklaces are just a gift from god. Loved this post!x
